About the wine
As a young man, Friedrich Becker dared to break with the parental tradition of the cooperative business and bottle his own wines. This has become one of the best producers in the Palatinate and currently the best Pinot Noir winemaker in Germany. After Becker had already started talking about his clear, acidic white wine style in the 1980s, his collaboration with winemaker Stefan Dorst spurred him on to continuous improvements in red wine.

Tasting note
Spicy nose with blackberries, gingerbread and undergrowth. A fresh start with a wonderful tannin scent, power and wonderful structure. A lot of quality for a fair price!
Vinification
Katharina The grapes were carefully selected by hand, destemmed and fermented separately from each other on the mash. After two to three weeks of fermentation in open oak vats and rolls, they were gently juiced. The wine matured for 16 months in small oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration and fining.
