About the wine

Carlos de Pedro Manso, who worked in the wine trade for 30 years, made his dream come true in 2004 together with Jesús Asenjo. In the village of La Horra in the heart of the Ribera del Duero growing region, which has just under 400 inhabitants, they cultivate 40 hectares of vines that are up to 100 years old. The growing season is about 110 days short due to the long and cold winters down to minus 18 degrees. Every move must be right and the timing must be perfect. Nevertheless, extensive management is carried out with low yields, manual harvesting and selection and a largely ecological approach.

Tasting note
The color shows a dark, reddish black core. The scent is a mix of ethereal freshness, oak wood and cedar scent. In the mouth, Silvanus then brings tart notes into play, juiciness and mulberries with plenty of noble bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate. The abundant, ripe fruit of this reserve is surrounded by the powerful and lively accents of the finely balanced tannins. A red wine that ranges between maximum fruit and tart connotations of tannins. Echoes for a long time.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with red meat, chorizo, ham and Iberian sirloin, mushroom dishes and aged cheese.
