Tasting note
Dense ruby red in color. Sweet, strong bouquet, some cassis, candy and cold smoke roasted aromas. A strong body accompanies the sumptuous aroma. It is balanced with fine sandy tannin and creamy melt. Great length with sweet seductive finish
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with large pieces of beef or veal, whole prepared poultry and hearty stews. Grilled vegetables complement the aromas as do mild cheeses, ideally with fruit jam or honey. Perfect accompaniment: a crispy, butter-fried hash browns with cheese and bacon. A simple meal of wild ham, flatbread and some cheese is also a culinary highlight. And if you don't want to eat, simply enjoy it while listening to the sounds of Vivaldi's “Four Seasons.”
