About the wine
Not a story in the sense of a beautiful story, but: a story spanning centuries. In 2012, the winery celebrated 550 years of family business tradition, and if you were not so humble, the story would go back even further. With a keen sense for change and further development as well as the reliably impressive quality of the wines, the winery has secured a firm place among the top companies in Switzerland and can now celebrate not only its long tradition, but also numerous awards. By the way, the best grape material is provided in-house - with the vine nursery, the family is also a leader in refining vines in Switzerland.

Tasting note
Hibernation - dark, cool and fresh aura, such as clear winter air, very dark, spicy berry fruit with a fresh, slightly chemical tone like cold, in it a deep, warm-spicy, comforting peace, spices, juniper berries, licorice. On the palate, this deep warm peace, the dark, supple fruit, in the cool, almost gripping, also clarifying tart freshness, herbal notes, dark-tart spicy and fresh as a winter night. Wonderful how the dark, bitter freshness and blissful peace come together here.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Fermentation of the destemmed berries in small stands, manually filling the press, gentle pressing, aging in used, post-toasted small oak barrels for 1 year, assemblage, then further aging for 1 year in the bottle.
