About the wine

There is a breath of fresh air in the rolling hills of Roero! It's almost unbelievable what the two sisters Monica (studied oenologist) and Daniela Tibaldi have already achieved since the official launch of Cantina Tibaldi in 2014. Refreshing, carefree and passionate, they thoroughly dusted off the family business run only on a part-time basis by their male ancestors for several generations and raised it to a new, professional level in a short time. Father Stefano and Nonno Tunin are still available with advice and assistance, but the two energetic Piedmontese women hold the reins firmly in their hands. On the organically cultivated 6 ha in the southwest corner of the Roero area (located north of Barolo and Barbaresco), only grape varieties typical of the region are cultivated: Favorita, Arneis, Barbera & Nebbiolo. The showpieces of the cantina are plots in officially recognized individual locations in the municipalities of Pocapaglia (Bricco delle Passere) and Santa Vittoria d'Alba (Costa Anforiano). The avowed aim of the friendly winemakers is to produce elegant and complex wines that reflect the character of their origin. They achieve this in an absolutely convincing way. Both white and red wines have clear, precise fruit, are typical of the variety and impress with their pleasant freshness.
