Sauvignon Blanc Ried Moarfeitl Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2022 - Weingut Neumeister

Straden is located in the volcanic region of Styria in southeastern Austria and is characterized by an Illyrian-Pannonian mixed climate. Moarfeitl, classified as a “large STK location” by the Styrian terroir and classic wineries, which also includes Neumeister, is located on a high plateau. It is the oldest family-owned vineyard. After a long maceration period, Sauvignon Blanc is spontaneously fermented in large wooden barrels (500 l to 2,500 l) and aged on fine yeast for at least 18 months. The wine impresses with its complexity, depth and minerality. It is never superficial, but it often takes years for them to become apparent.
