Rich, dark garnet red with ruby edges — extremely complex and intense nose with aromas of cassis, blackberries, black cherries, tobacco, cedarwood, vanilla and toast. Strong on the palate and with lots of ripe berry fruit, a velvety mouthfeel and fine-grained tannin, the wood — wonderfully balanced with the fruit — only contributes subtle roasted aromas and a touch of vanilla. The finish is eternally long and carried by ripe fruit notes and fine oak spice. 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc from some of the best vineyards in Stellenbosch.
