Tasting note
Young red wine made from 100% Mencia grapes from Ribeira Sacra. The vines grow on various plots of land along the gorges of the local Sil River. Very fruity, fresh and tasty wine with hints of marine aromas, as well as sour fruits, sweetness, minerals and aromatic herbs. Good acidity and expression of the grape variety. A truly sensual trip to the Ribeira Sacra. Nose: aromas of currants, blue flowers, spices, ripe and red fruits, freshness, marine aromas. Palate: Fresh, black and red ripe fruits, acidic fruits such as raspberries and cherries, floral, spicy, herb-like notes, aromatic herbs, sweet spices, candied fruit and strong sea flavor. Good acidity with fruity expression and ripe tannins.
Culinary recommendation
The perfect addition: grilled sardines. A good choice: slow-cooked game meat (civet), lamb, rabbit, red meats. ceviche, blue fish, seafood. Cheeses such as Manchego and Idiazabal.
