About the wine
This snappy Sangiovese 2012 — Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Terralsole masters this red wine in the fertile and blooming Tuscan countryside. Tasting note
This Rosso di Montalcino delights with its sparkling ruby red. Fresh notes of dark berries, ripe plums and slight hints of chocolate and black cherries flatter the nose. On the palate, the juicy fruit, lots of melting, well-integrated fresh acidity, charming tannins and a slightly sweet note are pleasing. A top-class Rosso di Montalcino!

Vinification
The grapes for this Rosso di Montalcino grow on well-drained soils at approx. 350 m above sea level and are all carefully harvested by hand. After temperature-controlled cooling and slow fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in 600 liter French oak barrels. The wine is then stored in bottles for at least 4 months. The production is around 3000 bottles.
