About the wine
It's only been a few years since we founded Smith & Smith but can we already tell a few stories? Our wines tell the rest. Of course, very special wines. Some elegant, others lascivious, generous, some loudly, others whisper, all with character, individualists. And sometimes we long for the simple, the obvious, the original, the “That's the way it is here”, here in Rioja, or even here in Tessin, that's how White Merlot is here and that's how it should be. No tam-tam, just good wine with roots. Enjoy!

Tasting note
Romantic youth. Let yourself drift here and there, very enthusiastically, even the gender doesn't seem to be decided. First lively with a dark, fresh berry fruit, then dreamy, soft, sweet bright red fruit, almost feminine, repeatedly drawn to the dark sides, peaty. On the palate enthusiastic, soft and wide, sweet red fruit, very soft and mild here, dreamy even in the distance, also a touch of cocoa and coconut, the delicately tart features an early sign of masculinity, soft tannins and mild dark seasoning, peaty, sweet-tart. The beautiful side of youth, the dreamy and open diversity, completely without uncomfortable principles or difficult sides - just be!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, game dishes, pasta with strong sauces and aged cheese
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Up to two weeks of mash fermentation. Temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, 2 months yeast storage.
