About the wine
Castiglione Falletto is a small village in the middle of the best wine-growing areas in the Langhe. The Vietti family winery is located right next to Castiglione Castle. Luca Currado and Mario Cordero have expanded their cellar and brought it up to date with the latest technology. Luca, the graduate oenologist, gained experience at well-known wineries such as Mouton-Rothschild and Opus One. In addition to the classic wines Barbaresco, Barbera d`Alba, Barbera d`Asti, Moscato d`Asti and Arneis, the Barolo vineyards Rocche, Brunate, Lazzarito and Villero are grown with great success.

Tasting note
Alfredo Currado-Vietti, one of the Padri dell Arneis, rediscovered the almost disappeared, original Piedmontese variety as a characterful grape in the 1960s and played a significant role in its renaissance. Since then, cellar technology has improved - careful processing of grapes, gentle pressing, chilled, slow fermentation - and has contributed significantly to revealing the subtleties of arneis, its unique, enchanting aromas. Vietti's Arneis is vividly fresh with delicate fruity notes, a flattering start on the palate, round on the finish with little acidity.
