About the wine

Tasting note
Its rich ruby red is the icing on the cake of any special evening. Your friends will tell you. The fruity bouquet of black cherry, chocolate and cooked blackberry shows a complex aroma structure and plenty of culinary potential. The present notes of prune, clove and marmalade create their individual texture. A strong body and present acidity result in the fruity red wine, which harmoniously shows a lot of character and class with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 3-6 years after the harvest. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes well with polenta, lasagna and barbecue.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: Each grape variety is harvested at its optimum degree of ripeness, fermented and then left on the skins for a long time to extract as many aromas and tannins as possible. After careful pressing, the wine is left to mature for 21 months in 65% American and 35% French barriques and then, after bottling, is kept in the cellars of the bodega for another year.
