About the wine
The Grabenwerkstatt - a very small farm (2 ha) and very big wines. As much as you wish the two friendly young winemakers great success, you hope that the whole thing will remain small after all. Everything here is done by hand, sometimes there are no alternatives at all, their small plots of land in Spitzer Graben are so difficult to access. Some of the highest plots of land in the Wachau are located there. Under Michael Linke and Franz Hofbauer, biodynamically managed wines are produced here, typical of the location, firm, fresh and yet seductive with ripe fruit. A small wine wonder - since 2013! Attention: Small quantity, highly sought after!

Tasting note
Gentle soul - so sensitive, soft, creamy light to yellow fruit, yet so delicate, fragile, the minerality, that is such humble freedom, pure spirit, free and baseless. On the palate again that very delicate, sensitive figure, so soft, full of feeling, at the same time as uprooted, detached, raptured, delicate tart white to green fruit, freshness, so subtle, so sensitive, mental restlessness, clear, transparent, completely detached, disembodied, long. Very big shot, Riesling, so delicate, fragile, sensitive, big!

Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Riesling "Trenning" passt bestens zu asiatischem Essen, Ente und indischer Küche.
Vinification
Very selective reading by hand. Fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts in steel tanks, longer yeast storage, no fining or filtration.
