About the wine
The family had already been growing wine for several generations, but it was only under Johann Schmelz from 1979 that their own wine was vinified. From the outset, he focused on high quality and natural farming without artificial fertilisers, the grapes should be healthy but not overripe, botrytis is not found here. Today, the 14-hectare farm is one of the best addresses in the Wachau region and is also highly recognized by international critics.

Tasting note
Ice saint - with a melt like a blessing for this wonderful, cool freshness. Even the scent, like an iced candy, minerally cool, almost white this freshness, yet also radiates such peace, yellow fruits like - everything is good - as a background. On the palate with blessed litter, what a melting, yellow, juicy stone fruit around this wonderful, always mild yet cool mineral freshness, so juicy, so mineral.
