Tasting note
Color: Clear, intense ruby red with purple reflections. Aromatics: Medium intensity aromas of ripe dark fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and plum, complemented by spicy notes of black pepper, licorice and a touch of dark chocolate. Subtle nuances of dried herbs and fine roasted notes round off the bouquet. Body: Dry, medium-bodied. The tannins are velvety and well integrated. The acidity is fresh and brings balance to ripe fruit. Aromas of dark berries, cherries and fine spices reflect the nose. The medium-long finish is fruity with a slightly spicy aftertaste. Quality: A typical Nero DaVola variety with clear fruit, good balance and depth.
