About the wine
The farm run by the Scarbolo family is located in southern Friuli, nestled in rolling hills, on the right bank of the Torres. The clay and siliceous soils and the special microclimate are perfect for viticulture. Valter Scarbolo follows the development of wines from vine to bottle. Fermented in steel tanks, these classic white wines from Friuli focus on fruitiness and varietal specificity. Thanks to their restrained acidity and beautiful variety of aromas, Valters wines offer carefree drinking pleasure. Refosco is an autochthonous variety that dates back to the time of the Roman Empire.

Tasting note
Dark ruby red with purple reflections, pleasant, spicy bouquet with notes of dark berries, plums, white pepper and almonds, as well as a fine roasted aroma. On the palate, it has a good, strong structure, balanced and with great personality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat and game, as well as spicy cheeses.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in wide stainless steel tanks to achieve the best possible extraction of colorants and soft tannins. After fermentation, subsequent contact with mash for several weeks. Aging for 36 months in French oak barrels and barrels.
