With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Argentinean winery Ojo de Vino/Agua - Dieter Meier masters this red wine in the sunny and beautiful landscape in Mendoza. Tasting note
Deep dark, dense red with a purple sheen. Intense and complex on the nose with lots of dark grape varietal fruit, underlined with a touch of vanilla and fine oak spice. Powerful, juicy, full-bodied on the palate, with a perfect balance of fresh fruit, spice, wood and gently ripened tannin, very harmonious and clear grape varieties with lots of juicy fruit and a delicious aftertaste of plums and spices. A perfect food companion!
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: Now until 2020. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes well with Gruyère burgers, ribeye steak and pizza with mushrooms.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-April, immediately brought to the winery and fermented here at controlled temperatures of 27 to 29 °C in stainless steel tanks. In order to give the cuvée even more aromatic richness and structure, the wines are aged in French oak barrels after the alcoholic fermentation is complete (around 50% from second use) .Free from animal products - certified vegan.
