About the wine
The estate is located on the Salento Peninsula, the heel of the Italian boot. The history dates back to the 19th century. Even the founders were ambitious and wanted to create a model for viticulture in southern Italy at the time. This spirit is still felt today. In 2008, the Falvo family took over the 80-hectare winery and have been passionately dedicated to the autochthonous varieties ever since. The wines have an expressive character, are steadfast yet charming and cosmopolitan.
Tasting note
Nature boy. Rich, ripe fruit, dark, lots of spices, earthy. On the palate with natural charm, soft and muscular, sweet fruit and uncomplicated, engaging nature.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team is recommended for spicy hard cheese, red meat and risotto.
Vinification
Read and sort by hand. The temperature-controlled fermentation of the destemmed berries takes place in steel tanks, the malolactic fermentation and maturation in barriques for 4 months.
