About the wine
The estate is located on the Salento Peninsula, the heel of the Italian boot. The history dates back to the 19th century. Even the founders were ambitious and wanted to create a model for viticulture in southern Italy. This spirit is still felt today. In 2008, the Falvo family took over the 80-hectare winery and have been passionately dedicated to the autochthonous varieties ever since. The wines have an expressive character, are steadfast yet charming and cosmopolitan.
Tasting note
Little seducer, friendly, natural and without applying fat. Engaging friendly hello, very pleasurable, juicy and sweet, red, dark fruit, placed with spices behind it, slightly peppery. On the palate with seductive skills, gentle, flattering with plenty of sweet fruit, but also with whistle and wit, lively freshness and peppery, flattering tannins. Very likeable guy with charm and wit for all occasions.
Culinary recommendation
We recommend Flaschenpost team to accompany brasato, pasta and red meats. Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C.
Vinification
Read and sort by hand. The temperature-controlled fermentation of the destemmed berries takes place in steel tanks, the malolactic fermentation and maturation in barriques for 6 months.
