About the wine
Sunny and fertile landscapes in Apulia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Leone de Castris conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the fine Primitivo IGT Salento Per Lui from 2014, you will positively surprise your friends.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. Intense and complex, with predominant notes of ripe red fruits such as black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by a touch of sweet spices, licorice and delicate nuances of cocoa and vanilla. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping and well-structured, with soft and well-integrated tannins that ensure excellent persistence. The taste is rich in ripe red fruits, with a spicy aftertaste and a slight toast due to aging in wood, which gives it depth and complexity. The wine maintains a good freshness, which balances the intensity of its structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled red meat, roasts, game, aged cheeses and Mediterranean dishes with delicious sauces. It is also great with pot roasts and stews, with the wine completing and enriching the complex aromas of the dishes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually, carefully selected and vinified in a traditional way. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels for around 12 months to round out the tannins and enrich the wine's aromatic bouquet.
