Pétillant Naturel, Pet Nat for short, or in this case, Pitt Nat, is the oldest and most natural method of sparkling wine production. The must is filled into the bottle while still fermenting, where it is finished fermentation, closed with a crown cap. So no second fermentation, as with champagne, for example. Pittis, Pitt Nat does not contain any added sugar or sulfur. A style that goes beyond the mainstream. Gerhard Pittnauer is Falstaff Winemaker of the Year 2014.
