Tasting note
Merlot Riserva Kastelaz has a dense, purple-red color. In the nose, it develops an inviting, complex, spicy-fruity aroma. Juicy and with lots of race and character, the wine presents itself on the palate with spicy fullness, soft tannin and a mineral, persistent aftertaste.
Vinification
Mash fermentation for about 10 days in steel tanks followed by acid degradation in wooden barrels. Aging for 18 months in French barriques, then long bottle aging.
