About the wine

The Pettenthal, the first historic location on the Roter Hang, is considered the steepest plot of land in Rheinhessen. The soils of red slate, sandstone, clay and clay give the wine its special characteristics. Reduced fruit on the nose, characterized by notes of peach seeds, lemon and grapefruit peel, while spicy aromas of pepper and dried herbs dominate.
