About the wine

Bodegas Jalón is a small family winery whose wines are produced exclusively from 10 ha of its own vineyards with low yields. The vines are carefully nurtured, the soil is only treated with organic fertilizers. Herbicides and other synthetic plant protection products are not used. Our vineyards have an average age of 30 years and are located at 460 to 500 m altitude in the Iregua Valley. Geologically speaking, our growing area belongs to the middle depression of the Ebro Valley, in which clay, sandstone and conglomerates from the Quaternary with predominantly loamy marl and gypsum generally predominate. The area has a continentally influenced Mediterranean climate with little rainfall and extreme temperatures.
