About the wine
The grapes for this wine come from our three Pinot Noir growing regions Girlan, Mazon and Pinzon. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 380 and 530 m above sea level and originate on the one hand from moraine deposits on volcanic porphyry rock and on the other hand from west-facing, loamy limestone soils. The loamy and chalky soil is ideal for the Blauburgunder and gives it velvety softness and an elegant structure.

Tasting note
Brilliant ruby red color Intense aroma with clear notes of red cherries and raspberries. On the palate, this multi-faceted Pinot Nero is fresh, the clean fruit is accompanied by well-integrated acidity. The fine tannin is also a harmonious component, smooth on the finish with nice persistence.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and delivered in small containers. After de-straining, the mash is filled into the steel barrels using gravity, where fermentation takes place (18-20 days). After biological acid degradation, it is aged for 12 months in large wooden barrels (50 hl). The wine is stored in the bottle for a further 6 months.
