About the wine
Cosimo and Maria Teresa Varvaglione manage their winery in the Salento region of Apulia together with their three children. With the experience and tradition of four generations and the support of dynamic and motivated employees, the company was brought back to life. Varvaglione 1921 takes the best of the region and transforms it into high-quality wines. The starting point for this is the variety of local grape varieties. The credit for making the right choice at the right time belongs to the experienced winemaker. The philosophy of Varvaglione 1921 is based on the combination of tradition and technology.

Tasting note
Intense taste of ripe and dark fruits. Soft and velvety with a balanced structure and an aromatic, long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with everything from the grill, including fish, with hearty pasta or risotto, with mature cheese from cows and goats. It's also a pleasure solo.
Vinification
Vinification by maceration at a controlled temperature of 26°-28°C. After malolactic fermentation, refinement in French barrels and American barriques for at least 10 months.
