About the wine
The winemaker from the Portuguese winery Fita Preta is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
Dark purple color with concentrated aroma of red fruits. Subtle notes of ripe fruit and round tannins. The aftertaste is intense and persistent.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with surf and turf, suckling pig or chicken. A little tip: This wine is best with grilled tuna! But it also goes great with grilled vegetables and stew.
Vinification
At the peak of ripening, the grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes, which allows direct quality control of the grapes in the vine around in the cellar. After picking, the grapes are transported in small vats and fermented on yeast at 27°C. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for another 18 months.
