About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Col d'Orcia is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the fertile and blooming Tuscan countryside. Tasting note
The Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is one of Brunello's absolute icons and is hard to beat in terms of finesse, complexity and opulence. Typical aromas of ripe red fruit and tobacco dominate the bouquet and harmonize wonderfully with the noble wood note. An elegant body, polished tannins and a fresh structure make the Poggio a real treat even on the palate. All characteristics come together in a delicate and long-lasting finish.

Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes perfectly with ribeye steak, pizza with mushrooms and Gruyère burgers.
Vinification
Strict grape selection, maceration for 20 to 25 days at a controlled temperature of 28°C in large stainless steel tanks. Subsequent aging for 48 months in Slavonian and Allier oak barrels, followed by 24 months of bottle aging.
