About the wine
The Domaine Michèle et Patrice Rion, accompanied by son Maxime, has 7 hectares planted in Nuits Saint Georges and Chambolle Musigny. The family attaches great importance to the selection of plant material. The overall philosophy is to respect the soil and the plants while producing typical terroirs. The 1.8 hectares of Clos les Argillières with vines aged 70 years on average are located directly opposite the estate.

Tasting note
Blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries dominate here. Notes of juniper and hawthorn give the wine a somewhat wilder expression. On the palate, it is elegant and has concentrated substance. The tannins are fine and pleasant. Its minerality gives it the welcome length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with duck, lamb, fine cuts of meat, game, beef.
Vinification
Manual selection and then extensive sorting. Fermentation in open stainless steel tanks for three weeks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels (30% new ones) for 17 months.
