About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2018, it's this hearty Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 — Ninquen Mountain Vineyard of Colchagua Valley. Beautiful and sunny landscapes of Valle Central give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Chilean winery Montgras conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with red meat or ribeye steak.

Tasting note
With this top-class blend, it is not surprising that the conclusion should actually be “pure Bordeaux.” The bouquet reveals complex, fine aromas of tobacco, spices and ripe, delicious fruit (wild berries, black cherries, cassis). The velvety, seductive tannin texture and the dense, profound structure are examples of this plant, which is unique in Chile. It is a powerful, polished red wine with depth and persistence, which testifies to a great terroir and high winemaking skills.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with gratin potatoes, grilled lamb, roast beef, chateaubriand & beef filet stroganoff.
Vinification
Aged for 21 months in barriques (French and American oak)
