About the wine
Sandrone is Burgundy Grand Cru from Piedmont — there is no bigger compliment for Barolo! Luciano Sandrone is not a blender — rather shy, always very correct, at most maybe a bit mischievous. And yet behind this humble façade lies one of Barolista's most dynamic innovators. The winemaker could be described as a modernist among traditionalists because, on the one hand, he focuses on shorter fermentation times, on the other hand, handles new wood very carefully and only uses 500-liter tonneaus and no barriques. In any case, Sandrone wines with the unmistakable label have long enjoyed cult status!

Tasting note
In its bouquet, this wine shows an elegant interplay of cherries, roses and hibiscus with a hint of anise and exotic spices. On the palate, it has a harmonious structure, ripe, pleasant tannins and an expressive fruit aroma that drags on on the long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Drink this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The following period is the ideal phase of enjoyment of this wine: vintage + 9 years. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes perfectly with truffle risotto, prosciutto and burrata.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: 12 months in 500 liter barrels made of used French oak wood, 9 months on the bottle.
