About the wine

With the powerful Gamay 2015 — Moulin-à-Vent AOP Coeur de Terroirs Vieilles Vignes, you can offer your guests something very special. The calcareous, loamy soils in Burgundy offer the winemaker from the French winery Domaine Labruyère everything he needs to live out his craft and produce a wine for discerning connoisseurs. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This gamay is excellent served with chimichurri or cheese.

Tasting note
Edouard Labruyère, the seventh-generation owner of one of the most beautiful wineries not only from Moulin-à-Vent and his vines in preferred locations in the immediate vicinity of the eponymous windmill, deviates from the typical method of winemaking in Beaujolais in order to give preference to Burgundian and produces red wine in the classic way. He is more interested in pressing powerful, structured and long-lasting wines. Brilliant ruby red, intensely fruity bouquet of ripe cherries and pomegranates; elegant and digestible on the palate, with a fresh core and the finest tannin. Wonderfully open and accessible.
Culinary recommendation
