About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Agricola Punica absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the fertile and flourishing countryside of Sardinia. Tasting note
Dark ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, fine berry notes, plums, fresh wood and spice. On the palate, a smooth start with fine-grained tannins. An aroma with lots of ripe, dark berries, some cherries and chocolate as well as elegant roasted aromas. Finally, attractively balanced with good aromatic persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with suckling pig, pasta and spicy cheeses.
Vinification
Mash fermentation takes place in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks for 12 to 15 days. The young wine is then aged in French barriques for 15 months, followed by a 3-month refinement in the bottle.
