About the wine
This distinctive Merlot 2017 — Montefalco Rosso DOC crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Wonderful and fertile landscapes in Umbria give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agraria Perticaia conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or poultry.

Tasting note
This wine has an intense ruby red color. Its taste is extremely winey, fresh, with notes of raspberries and blueberries. The taste is full and slightly tannic
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcuterie starters, first courses of Umbrian and Mediterranean cuisine in general.
Vinification
Depending on the grape variety, the maceration of the grapes takes one to two weeks. The temperature remains below 30° during fermentation, between 25°/28° during maceration with the skins and between 20°/22° until malolactic fermentation. It is aged for a total of 18 months. This wine stays in steel for 12 months and in the bottle for 6 months.
