Tasting note
Stefano Aymerich Di Laconi's Tenuta di Tavignano is surrounded by spacious vineyards, flooded with light and breathing the Adriatic sea air. Within sight is Jesi, the small Umbrian-Etruscan town with its imposing city walls, palaces and fortifications. The main variety that has been cultivated in Marche for centuries is Verdicchio. Tavignano offers Verdicchio in various varieties, which differ in their intensity and aromatic concentration, but share the ever-present mineral race. The Tenuta's flagship is the Misco, named after the river to which the Tavignano vineyards lean. It is a selection made from the oldest vines and which also appears as a riserva in very rare vintages. As is well known, Verdicchio is particularly suitable to be left lying down a little longer and to give pleasure after a few years in oblivion with a wonderful complexity of aromas.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with aperitifs, antipasti, fish, charcuterie.
Vinification
