About the wine

Celler Cal Pla was founded in 1814 when the priory underwent a major change in wine and planting. To date, seven generations have dedicated themselves to the work of the vineyards and the production of wines. The old wine cellar is still in operation, and some of the vines are now over a hundred years old. Joan Solanis, as the winemaker and owner of the vineyards, created the Mimi together with Jacopo Renzetti. Mimi is an abbreviation of Mireira, a typical Catalan name that comes from the Latin Mirus/Mira, which means something like exceptional. You have achieved the desired goal of creating a wine with a clear emphasis on origin from old vineyards, with original tradition and perfect harmony, in an impressive way.
