About the wine
This snappy Nebbiolo 2012 — Marrone Barolo is a hit right down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Picturesque and sunny landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Marrone conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a dining experience when you serve this Nebbiolo with prosciutto or truffle risotto.

Tasting note
An intense bouquet of roses, dried fruits, licorice, cocoa and coffee. The taste is perfect and strong. Dense, delicate body, beautifully embedded tannins and long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty, dark meat dishes of beef, lamb, deer, as well as mushroom dishes and truffles.
Vinification
Manual harvest in the second half of September. 20 days of maceration and aging in stainless steel tanks. The aging takes place for 24 months in large oak barrels and barriques and another 24 months in the bottle. Marrone only bring their Pichemej to market after 5 years. Pichemej is called better than better in dialect and comes from grandfather Pietro Marrone.
