About the wine

Hans Nittnaus is a pioneer, a visionary, and a gifted winemaker. Anita and Hans manage the 30-hectare winery biodynamically, the wines are full of life, extremely precise and completely unvarnished, also thanks to the very careful use of wood and the very moderate extraction. His son Martin goes even further towards minimal intervention. Fining, filtering, even the addition of sulfur are questioned here. At Nittnaus, you are never completely satisfied, always looking for the perfect interpretation of the terroir - and so often you find what you are looking for! Zig-fold and highly decorated with international awards - and also a winemaker and winery of hearts!

Tasting note
Wild West romance. Sunset, the sweet melodies, the very ripe stone fruits, the warm soil, the bright earth, yeasts, but also a fresh bite, the scent of herbs, and cattle, horn. Pure romance again on the palate, that golden, bitter mood, the leisurely, swaying step in the evening sun, smooth, viscous harmony, yeasty, ripe but fresh fruit, quince, but also the masculine tart power, peppery and a slightly bitter minerality, on its own, the risk of an ambush, but nothing in the world do you want to swap for now and savor every one of the many moments! Happy loneliness and vastness.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler tip: Grüner Veltliner Manila goes well with aperitif, freshwater fish and poultry.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Spontaneous fermentation, aging and aging take place in small wooden barrels, no fining, no filtration, minimal sulphurization.
