Could you say «no» if Samu Haber, the lead singer of Sunrise Avenue, offered you a bottle of wine? Neither could we! That's why the smart Finn has recently been making us melt with a wine. Before Samu made his musical breakthrough with his band in 2006, he lived in Spain for four years. There he experienced turbulent times, ran sometimes dubious businesses, but also discovered his love for Spanish wines. When asked what fascinates him about wine, he says in his mischievous way, «Has anyone ever had a great idea while drinking milk?»
When Sunrise Avenue's farewell tour had to be postponed because of the pandemic, Samu did not remain idle. First he wrote an autobiography, in which he tells relentlessly honest about his past, about the highs and lows in his life, about his dreams, but also about depression and burnout. Whether it was while looking back on his life that he got the idea to make his own wine? Certainly not while drinking milk, as we now know... «I dreamed of having my own wine for years,» Samu says. He says his red wine goes well with singing, dancing, and is the perfect companion for dinner with friends or hours of talking about life. «It's perfect for that moment when someone very special is holding you a little too tightly by candlelight.» Okay, Samu...we're completely sold. Especially since the wine is top notch in terms of taste. It will accompany us in the future as faithfully as «Fairytale Gone Bad» or «Hollywood Hills»!
