About the wine
With the delicious Limonte Grignolino d'Asti DOC from 2017, you will positively surprise your friends. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Braida masters this red wine in the picturesque and fertile countryside of Piedmont.
Tasting note
Brilliant garnet red with ruby reflections. Fragrant, seductive wine with rose notes, some apricot, yellow plums, but also red-fruit nuances of raspberry and strawberry. Fresh and winey on the palate, the aromas of the nose are repeated. A successful combination of fruit, freshness and a slightly rustic tannin structure. Lightly chilled and best enjoyed with “Plättli”.
Culinary recommendation
With cold “platters”, Italian antipasti or minestrone.
Vinification
After harvesting, Grignolino grapes - a specialty that is grown almost exclusively in Piedmont, are processed quickly and carefully. After temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the young wine is aged in steel tanks for around four months. After two months of aging in the bottle, the refreshing red wine, which can be drunk young, is sold.
