Les Margannes Brut Nature AC 2020 - Barrat-Masson

Pure Chardonnay from around 40-year-old vines, aged for nine months, mostly in wood. Four years of bottle aging before disgorgement. The nose features aromas of salt lemons, juicy pears, white currants, apricots and some red rhubarb, plus fine floral and herbal scents, underpinned with spicy notes of lye croissants and mineral chalk tones. On the palate, showing nice freshness, full-bodied, with a delicate tannin structure and in turn an animating citrus chalk touch in the finale.
