Lagrein Alto Adige DOC 2024 - Ansitz Waldgries

Even with the so-called “entry-level Lagrein” of this estate, you can recognize Chrisitan Plattner's fine handwriting. Up to 50% of the grapes are fermented as whole grapes - i.e. with the styles, which gives structure and spice. The wine is aged in large wooden barrels and used barriques. The nose shows aromas of dark wild berries and plums, plus spicy notes of dried flowers and cocoa. Rich on the palate, with an elegant, drinking-stimulating acid structure and good length.
