About the wine
Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza have been traveling through Spain for over 30 years, out of love for the land, for wine, always in search of the best historical sites. In 1994, they purchased the first plot of land, which was initially followed by new ones almost every year. 355 individual sites to date, 80 ha, often organically, always meticulously cultivated. Wines are only available in abundance when the vineyards have regained their former size. What have the two not already given us. Wines for every day such as Basa, wines with charm and grandeur such as Matallana, exotic mineral Mountain Wines or tough La Social. Always and all an event.

Tasting note
First the growl, then the paws. It's not a lap dog, it's a noble castle dog. Pay attention, there are a lot of mineral, dark notes, peppery, tart, dusty, sparse, fresh, but you want to win that, and little by little it opens up, showing more of the deep dark, noble berry fruit. Athletic and strict on the palate, in perfect shape, defined, very structured, first tested precisely, tart and strict, dark notes, licorice, and then a bit gentler in the beautiful dignified elegance of the dark fruit. Fresh, tart, tannin-rich Tempranillo that doesn't immediately show everything, then develops its appeal all the more.

Von den Flaschenpöstlern empfohlen: La Social DO harmoniert perfekt mit Pizza, Barbecue und rotem Fleisch.
Vinification
Very selective reading by hand. Fermentation with vine-grown yeasts, aging for 16 months in French barriques.
