About the wine
Blooming and beautiful landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Buglioni conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. This dominant Corvina 2014 — L'Imperfetto Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Corvina is ideal to serve with game or roast meat.
Tasting note
The wine is based on 50 percent Corvina, 20 percent Corvinone, 25 percent Rondinella and 5 percent Molinara grapes. Some of the grapes are freshly pressed, some only after an appassimento in November. The two wines are then combined and aged in 750 liter oak barrels for half a year. Fruit aromas explode in the glass, reminiscent of blackcurrants, dates and spicy notes. On the palate, “L'imperfetto” appears opulent and ripe. An exciting wine with a healthy acidity, which is embedded in lots of soft melts.
