Tasting note
“Femme Rouge” becomes “L'Affaire Terre”! Pressed from 56% Syrah and 44% Grenache, aged in terracotta amphorae - that's probably why the name adaptation. Wonderful nose with aromas of red and blue berries, juicy cherries and plum compote, spicy with notes of dried herbs, licorice and dried figs, plus some tobacco and a touch of olive tapenade. Juicy and inviting on the palate, with a fine tannin structure and a subtle touch of pepper in the ripe, fruity finish.
Culinary recommendation
Great with Provençal cuisine, fine poultry and various meat dishes, such as guinea fowl on tomato and zucchini eggplant gratin, oven-baked lamb shoulder with olives and garlic or veal mignons with “Truffes de Ventoux”.
