Tasting note
Zweigelt, who is loved by Hannes Reeh, repeatedly plays the leading role in IN BLOOM Cuvée Rot, usually in combination with Merlot - but with which other varieties he enters into dialogue, is determined anew every year. It is only when things are no longer more harmonious that it is round for Hannes Reeh. The wine is aged partly in steel tanks and partly in barriques. This is an inviting bouquet of red and blue berries, cherries and some plum compote, plus notes of nuts, dark nougat, delicate mocha tones and a toasty, spicy touch of precious wood. On the palate, with juicy berry fruit, again fine spiciness and well-integrated tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with various Austrian specialities, such as Wiener Schnitzel, Bakhendl or Kässpätzle. But also wonderful with bacon rösti or as an accompaniment to a barbecue party.
Vinification
The grapes were carefully picked by hand. Fermentation took place both in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques to give the wine additional complexity and structure.
