About the wine
With the outstanding white wine 2018 — Himmelwerk Riesling, you can offer your family and friends something very special. To get a feel for the mountainous and hilly landscape in Lower Austria, there is no way around this white wine, which the Austrian winery Baumgartner Baumhausweine masters with a fine sense of texture. Tasting note
Himmelwerk wines are only bottled in special vintages. In this case, it is a Riesling Reserve, a selection from the best Kamptal sites in the winery. The inviting nose features aromas of apricots, juicy nectarines, white currants and citrus fruits, plus some honeydew melon, underscored with notes of white flowers, blooming meadow herbs and cool mineral tones. Elegant on the palate, with lots of texture and nice density, yet juicy, with lots of fruit and a well-supporting acid structure. An outstanding Riesling with a great future.
Culinary recommendation
Great wine with fine starters, such as a fine crab cocktail, char tartare with pink pepper or vitello tonnato, with fish and seafood, but also with Asian dishes with a bit of spice and freshness.
