Regis Camus — a legend. Probably the most decorated winemaker of his time. The man who was responsible for Piper-Heidsieck champagnes for decades, whose icon Rare Champagne not only built up and turned it into an independent brand, but above all: achieved everything sensually possible in champagne with this wine. He is uncompromising - only 11 vintages in 40 years have been filled with Rare Champagne - and a master of blending, which he also shows today at Sauska in Tokaj. And that is exactly the unique idea behind his own Heavensake project in Japan. Heavenly composition by blending already outstanding sake from world-renowned breweries - and with what a success: His blends have been highly decorated several times and honored as the world's best.
