Tasting note
The subdued fruit on the nose (spices, red berries) and the subtle aroma of the oxidative aging in large wooden barrels indicate a typical and traditional Veltliner. The grapes come from very old vines, which produce a small harvest. Without forcing yourself into the foreground, the typical, vifen structure of Nebbiolo reveals a perfect wine on the palate. With silky smoothness and a moderate body, this wine turns into a medium-long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with salami, potato gratin, beef meatloaf, pork meatloaf, pork bratwurst and farmer's bratwurst.
Vinification
Aged for two months in stainless steel tanks and then in traditional, large oak barrels for 18 months and in the bottle for a further four months
