About the wine
At the beginning of the 90s, Christie and Peter Schulz decided to found their own winery and completed the transition from grape producer to wine producer. They transformed the old, historic butcher shop into their Cellar Door and thus into the heart of their Turkey Flat wine shop. The success was not long in coming: Today, Turkey Flat is one of the best companies in the Barossa Valley.

Tasting note
The Grenache delights with aromas of fresh red berries, cherries, lavender, moist soil, tobacco and crushed rock. On the palate, it impresses with silky tannins and a juicy acid structure, while its medium body merges into a long, elegant aftertaste. An impressive Grenache!
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the red wine is slightly chilled 15°-18°C. The ideal enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: 2016 - 2020. Flaschenpost team recommend Flaschenpost team with spicy food, burgers with blue cheese and red meat.
Vinification
After selective harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and slightly crushed. Some of the stems are added during fermentation, which takes place in large barrels. The wine is then aged for twelve months in used large oak barrels.
